Apleona extends contract with Colworth Park research campus

Colworth Park is a leading science park owned by Trinity Investment Management, and set in 91 acres of picturesque grounds in Bedfordshire. It is centred around the original 18th Century, Grade II* listed Colworth House.

Apleona deliver services including cleaning, waste management, facilities support, gym services, logistics and mail services, space planning, printing and reprographics, security, mechanical and electrical, refrigeration services, building fabric and project works. More recently, we added pest control to this extensive list.

During our collaboration, we have worked with Colworth Park to bring improved efficiency and productivity to the site with the latest in technologies - from the complete replacement of the Park security infrastructure, to the installation of a high efficiency heat reclaim Air Conditioning system in one of the Park's main buildings. Additionally, we developed and implemented an integrated Energy Management system, able to track, flag and identify source of energy usage throughout the site.

Apleona continue to suggest initiatives such as the use of electrolysed water as a surface sanitiser - this is currently being studied at the Park, with an anticipation of replacing many of the chemical based cleaning products used at the site.

Jacqui Paice, MD, Apleona UK & IRL comments: ‘It is wonderful news that Colworth Park have extended their contract with us. We have worked hard during the last three years to understand their needs, and overcome challenges to meet these. We are looking forward to seeing what the next two bring.’
